Love for a territory also means COURAGE. Courage not to forget, to pursue your own idea, a desire. It means SAY NO to chemical products, fast breeding or compromise to the detriment of product quality. SAY NO TO AGRICULTURE MORE AND MORE INDUSTRY.

EMBRACE A FARMING PHILOSOPHY THAT FOLLOWS ECO-SUSTAINABLE RULES.

These are the ingredients that unite three friends and an idea:

KEEPING LIVE BREEDS THAT OTHERWISE WOULD BE LOST

This is the story we want to tell you now.

LA GRISA is a breed of hen of an extinct stock in Lessinia: the Plymouth Rock Barrata.

Plymouth Rock, or the Grisa (name that recalls the color of the plumage) is a breed of American origin. It takes its name from the Plymouth Rock site, where European settlers are supposed to have landed for the first time aboard the “Mayflower”.

It is a medium-heavy, strong chicken, excellent producer of high quality meat and eggs.

There were many of them on the farmyards and courtyards of Lessinia in the last century. Then, according to a legend, the retreating German soldiers, at the end of the Second World War, took away all the breeding roosters.

The fact is that the hen «Grisa della Lessinia» had been lost.

Now, thanks to the courage of three friends, “Le Bellette” is created with difficulty in the hills of Mezzane di Sotto. A breeding with a thousand heads of this breed, which follows strict RULES of organic farming. All to arrive at a product of excellence.

ORGANIC RULES, SLOW GROWING BREEDING TO ARRIVE TO A PRODUCTION OF EXCELLENCE

The fruit of this work can also be enjoyed on the tables of many local restaurants that have understood the importance of a healthy and natural product and have then enhanced it with their recipes.

A QUALITY CHAIN THAT STARTS FROM THE BREEDING TO FINISH ON THE DISHES OF THE VISITORS OF OUR AREA!
