LA GRISA is a breed of hen of an extinct stock in Lessinia: the Plymouth Rock Barrata.<\/p>\n

Plymouth Rock, or the Grisa (name that recalls the color of the plumage) is a breed of American origin. It takes its name from the Plymouth Rock site, where European settlers are supposed to have landed for the first time aboard the \u201cMayflower\u201d.<\/p>\n

It is a medium-heavy, strong chicken, excellent producer of high quality meat and eggs.<\/p>\n

There were many of them on the farmyards and courtyards of Lessinia in the last century. Then, according to a legend, the retreating German soldiers, at the end of the Second World War, took away all the breeding roosters.<\/p>\n

The fact is that the hen \u00abGrisa della Lessinia\u00bb had been lost.<\/p>\n

Now, thanks to the courage of three friends, \u201cLe Bellette\u201d is created with difficulty in the hills of Mezzane di Sotto. A breeding with a thousand heads of this breed, which follows strict RULES of organic farming. All to arrive at a product of excellence.<\/p>\n
