Here we want to propose three suggestions for spending a day in Lessinia in the open air, walking through woods and breathtaking landscapes.

The first is a short walk to the small valley called the Valley of the Sphinxes (once Vajo del Brutto), where a characteristic ‘City of Rock’ extends. The Valley of the Sphinxes, about 800 meters long, has a series of large limestone monoliths. Nature has modeled these strange isolated boulders in the meadow of the valley that offer suggestive images and fascinating views. It is easy to guess faces and expressions imprinted in the rock, food for magic, fairy tales and legends. To admire are some monoliths located to the south of the district near a puddle, and some characteristic “ship’s prow” formations.
